Society is constantly evolving it's technology. If we're capable of creating it, then why WOULDN'T we use it?

Good question. We have lived without them right up until the twentieth century and I would have preferred it, if it had stayed that way.

Computers have become another tool for us, and in our current society, a needed tool. Think of how much we still use hammers and knives; tools invented and used by early man, or even the wheel. What would it be like to live without those!? This is just another step in the evolution of society.
