Do you think those MAC computers have a bad reputation?

At school they are sooo slow on the internet- and some of my friends tell me that they are gay at home as well because they have them- other friends tell me they are good only if you know the right scan and download thingos on them- We have good IT guys at school that we go to at thier office- i would be pretty sure they knew what software to use and people are always spreading around the school that they are getting something done to the networks to make them faster but it never does go faster or better in any way- does apple/mac have crappy quality computers?

I've never had an Apple or a Mac, but my sister's kids, who always have the newest most expensive computers and gadgets think they are absolutely the best. My nephew does a lot of gaming and super fast is his deal.

It's got to be the age of the school's computers or something.

Depends on what you use your computer for. Macs dominate the music, photo and video field, basically anything artistic. PCs dominate video games, basic day-to-day operations. Macs do what they are designed to do great, but the margin for error is less because there is only 1 manufacturer. PCs can do so much more, but there is a large room for error because the openness of the hardware.
