I do not think any computer manufacturer will ever produce a dual processor laptop. One reason would be the power consumption would be enormous. As it is, high-end P4 and Athalons can suck a battery dry in about an hour.
Multi-core processors are here and the way to go. Several manufacturers offer dual core Intel P4, AMD Athalon, and Intel Duo processors in notebooks. The AMD Turion is coming along soon.

For right now only the MacBook Pro which has the Intel Core Duo chip in it. I would wait for AMD to launch their dual core platform for PC laptops. I don't like Intel chips and AMD has a way of, how do I put this lightly, thrashing Intel to the ummmmm, core.
Dell has a dual core laptop as well. It is the Dell Inspiron E1705.
