If you are using windows vista go to start ...control panel..system and maintenance... then click system...
Probably the easiest way is

Start --%26gt; Run --%26gt; msinfo32
Click Start

Go to Control Panel

After the Control panel window opens click System

That will show you basic info like cpu speed and amount of ram...but for ram SPEED you'll need to go into you're bios settings

-As you're computer startsup, BEFORE windows starts to load, it should flash "press F11" or F10 or F8 for setup or somthing like that either at the bottom or top of the screen for just a second or two. Press the Fkey it asks for and you'll be able to navigate through you're bios to see what you're ram settings are. Just be careful not to change anything. (to be sure when you exit bios tell it to exit without saving changes).
