How do you share printers between desktop and laptop computers through a wireless router?

My printer is wired to my desktop computer. I have a wireless router attached to it. I use my laptop in other parts of the house. In order to print a document from my laptop the two must share information. How do you make the computers share.

Power up your desktop, laptop as well as your printer. Now on your desktop computer to which the printer is attached,(assuming that you use WINXP) click on:

Start --%26gt; Printers and Faxes

--%26gt; Right click on your printer selection

--%26gt; Select Sharing

--%26gt; Now in the box select Share this Printer

--%26gt; Type in the share name you would like to give

--%26gt;Like EL810 Canon..

---%26gt; Now click on Ok and youre started

--%26gt; Goto the laptop and open printers and faxes

--%26gt; Now select network printers

--%26gt;In the server name type in the name of the printer share along with the server name or browse for your printer share and you are all done to get started.

--%26gt;Now every time that you are on the laptop and would like a printout all you need to do is apply a print and select the shared network printer.

Think that shouldv'e solved your question.
