A good site for custom building computers?

Anyone know a good site for custom building computers

http://www.dell.com - Kidding, of course. You want to build a custom computer.

I use http://www.newegg.com for most of my stuff. I actually go to STAPLES for parts that I need quickly. (No hassle returns) I also check http://www.tigerdirect.com for some parts.

I am always on the LOOKOUT for new vendors through http://www.pricewatch.com But I investigate these companies throughoutly. It's silly to buy from a company that is 3,000 miles away, when a good one might be within 500 miles where the shipping cost might be less, and delivered quicker.

Good luck

It depends primarily on your skill level with computers.

For users comfortable with assembling their own machine from parts, I recommend www.pricewatch.com. The vendors they list often have the lowest prices around. I have used them many times, and I have even managed an IT department where we used them primarily for extra parts. As with all on-line vendors, be sure to check out their reviews. Additional places good to check are www.Amazon.com and www.TigerDirect.com.

For users who want a computer to come to their door custom built, either www.dell.com or www.alienware.com. Dell is the standard used for many businesses. Their service is excellent and their warranties are air-tight. Their base prices for computers are very good, but their price for customizations is usually unreasonable. They will give you better deals if you run and IT department though. Alienware provides stylish and high performing machines for good prices. Best of all, their customization prices are as good as their base prices.
