Diffrence between 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit computers?

What is the diffrence between the 16-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit computers. How we can identify our own computer is running in which type of bit.

It refers to the number of memory addresses it can directly utilize, 16 bit was 64k, 32 bit is 4Gb, 64 bit is 16 exibytes (which is HUGE, beyond peta and terra!)



Almost any PC made in the last 15 years will be 32 bit, 64 bit computers are just becoming readily available to consumers. If you have to ask, you are probably using a 32 bit box.

32 bit are windows based application.



64 bit is the latest technology, it must one of the newest PC with the Windows XP 64 installed.
