How can you connect one printer to two computers at the same time?

Hi how can I connect my printer to both of my computers where it will print from either one without me having to unplug it and set ip up everytime on the computer I wish to print.

How can you connect one printer to two computers at the same time?aurora

That would depend on what kind of connector(s) your printer has: if it has a parallel/Centronics connector, there are parallel switches which would do the trick. If it has a network/Ethernet connection, a router or hub or switch (depending on your network setup) would be the easiest - if you have one of those three already, you would connect the printers network cable to the router or hub or switch and then should be able to set it up on both computers through Windows printer sharing. If it has a USB connector, I'm not sure if you can share a printer through a USB hub, but there are USB-to-Ethernet adapters that might also work in conjunction with a router or hub or switch.

best buy has this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?... that will allow you to use your printer as a print server
You must have a network in this computer, so when you have it,you go to the network places and copy and paste the printer to the files that you see on the network, need more help??? e-mail me at pablojavierrm@yahoo.com.
If the computers are networked together, you just goto the computer with the printer installed on it. than goto my computer, than to printers, on the default printer, the one you have installed on this computer right click it, and select share printer. Thjan go to the other computer and add the printer doing a search for the networked printer...
The one way to do that is you can make a small network of those two computers .i mean a small local area network then connect ur printer with any one of ur pc then you can send prints with both computers to that printer n have fun.. ;)
