I also agree on the dna system. This procedure is fairly new (if u compare it to the years the criminal system has been in existance) and yet it has been able to solve many crimes around the world. Even cold or even closed cases that at the time seemed to have no solution.
Without a doubt, it will be the GPS Systems.

With a procedure no worse than a flu shot, we will be able to inject a chip into the hardest of criminals so when we let them out, we can track and know where they are at all times.
At some point in the future, scientists will be able to develop effective tools to determine the validity of a person's statements based on electrical and chemical reactions which occur in the brain when a person responds to a direct question.

These tools will need to pass rigid validity tests and be acceptable as evidence in criminal cases.

If and when people understand that their lies can be detected with the same certainty as a DNA test, many will tend to mollify their behavior beforehand.
