I would like a laptop. I know that companies get rid of computers and trash them all the time. How would I go about buying one. Or getting one for free.

They don't trash them, they either return them back to manufacturer or a recycling company takes them an re-sell them.
Looking for used computer dealers either online or in Yellow Pages.
The only ones you'll find for free are the really crappy ones.
