We run a network of 12 computers all on windowXP. We make use of aD-LINK router and another computer to enable us manage the timer.
My desire is to be able to sometimes send messages from the server to other computers on the network. Not just that, i need the message to Display on a small portion of the monitors in such a way that it remains there for as long as i want without preventing the network users from doing their works. Your Reply Will Be Highly Appreciated.

use the command netsend from a command prompt, there is also share ware that will do it. It is a part of the XP messenger
sevice, you will have to make sure it is turned on. Go to help and
type messenger and you will get the instructions on how to turn it on. Most agree it should be turned off, unless you have a firewall, else it can be exploited.
