Can't get network setup on one of my computers?kawasaki
If your running XP the just reinstall the network drivers, you may even want to install a new nic card.
are you using dhcp? or static ipi's if using dhcp make sure you have enought to sign out.
first thing i might do is enter a static ip then ping that computer from one that you know is working. next are you sure all your network connections are good either test the ports and wires or put a working computer in that room, are you using a hub, some have a button you have to push in make sure that is in the correct posistion.
Can't get network setup on one of my computers?nortan antivirus
there has to be a cd that comes with the computer and use the same cd on all the computers and it will work. the cd is a internet cd. you know the one that has explorer on it. good luck
1. ensure that the windows firewall, if used has the 'file and print sharing' box checked on the 'exceptions' tab.
or
2. run the 'setup home or office network' wizard
enter the correct workgroup name again.
you will need to reboot--TWICE.
PS if you have service pack 2, this will turn-on the windows firewall, if you don't want it, dis-able it again.
i founf tht same problem out. sometimes it messes up when installing. what i did is the easiest way i could figure. turn off you pc. take out your network card. turn it back on. delete the cliet. then reinstall the card. windows will use pnp to install the driver and then you can try agian and it should work fine after tht just do what you did to the others
