My partner is trying to start a business with computers...what do you think?

Well he is offering quite a lot with him business he is so smart he can do anything with computers. At the moment he has two clients but i want to know what our chances are of expanding this business...wether people will want it...he offers the following...

* Websites - he makes them from scratch.

* PHP and SQL - Databases and dynamic webpages

* Forms and contact pages.

* Image creations

* He can also build computers from scratch and fix them also.

* If anyone needs a part he can get it.

* Virus removal and installing programs.

Wow i think that's about it! I just want to know what everyones opinion is on this type of business has it worked for you? Can you make a living off it?

I am not in this business, but...

This is a great business to be in as many people need the services you've listed and few people are adept at the skills required to do a quality job.

His skills are solid, and in demand from business, but having customers is the most important thing. As your partner already has two clients, he is in business and steps ahead of others wanting to have this same type of business with no customers.

Help him with sales and marketing, ask customers for referrals and and do what it takes to always satisfy the customer.

Quality and reliability are what keeps them coming back.

There are going to be ups and downs until the business is established and the work is steady. Be a believer and a supportive partner, never doubt what he is doing and that will keep your partner focused on the business, not selling you and your fears.
