I get a 777 error when trying to connect two computers to the net. please help?

I have both computers on a router. And my computer is the host. But the other computer says my modem isn't working. Or something. I don't know.

It sounds like you have an IP conflict.

What do you mean that your computer "is the host"?

Normally you have both machines set up to automatically obtain an IP address and let the router do the work.

Please give a more detailed explanation of your setup.

Did you set up the second computer in a second user account from the Master account,(yours). In AT%26T DSL you must configure a second user account from the Master account. This is just one example of network configuration.
