Is it possible to have 2 computers running on the same internet?

i have got a pc in my room at the moment, with the internet. Im thinking about getting a laptop and putting it in another room, is it possible to have both of these computers on the same internet? (same time or not at same time).

Yes, it is possible. You can use the internet on your pc and laptop at the same time. What you need is a Hub/Router. I would prefer Wireless Router so that you can more around easily with your laptop. Wireless routers are about $70.

Yes - are you a new visitor to this forum? Many people ask the same question (and I am new to the forum).

If your ISP has set up the controls to block more than one computer (I think comcast likes to do that) it won't work.

If your ISP is not anal you need a router with multiple ports or a wireless router and wireless card in the remote computer. If you configure it right you should be able to run both computers at the same time, independently. And if you set the system up with an unsecured wireless router the neighbors can surf on your connect too!
Yes it is possible.. all you need is a router.
