I am using VNC remote to log into computers at work. At work when I am on network I merely enter the IP address of the computer and then it connects. This only works there though because when I try to log in from home I am off network and simply entering the IP address does not work. Does anyone know how I can set up VNC to allow me to work from home?

You can just use the Remote Desktop Connection if you have windows Xp. thats what i use to access my computer from work to home.

The IP address you entered is probably a local address at work.
More importantly, you need to find out if that computer is blocked by the firewall at work. If that's the case, you're out of luck.
thats a good question, google it.
I use VPN for work and I had to setup a new network. Don't know if that's the same thing.
You have to set up a VPN (Virtual private network) and access your VPN over the net then you can VNC into your computer after you have logged into the VPN... A good program for that is Hamachi
