For some computers can and will be a problem long term, but Im talking about people who spend every waking hour on it. But for the majority of society, Id have to say no they are not bad for us long term.
i remember when computers used the big floppy disk
Yes they are, you start wearing pink sunglasses and start to grow messy gray hair. Kinda reminds of someone.
We visited libraries for reference material, interacted with people in real time and in real life, spent time with our families, shopped either at local stores or via mail order, balanced our checkbooks on our own, hand wrote letters to loved ones, played card, board and other games, often with other people in our own homes, lived (and died) of diseases that doctors were unable to diagnose without advanced testing and imaging available as the result of computer technology, kept physical photo albums %26 scrapbooks that were available for viewing only by a limited few people in our lives, drove to work each and every day because we generally weren't able to work productively from home.
