/my current setup is... cable modem %26gt;router %26gt;8port switch %26gt;all computers... it worked before then for some reason everything stopped

I don't have all the details and I'm not really sure what you want. I ASSUME you want them to be able to transfer data back and forth and what not?

You can try downloading and installing NETBUI drivers for your network connection. That's what I did.... works great!

I assume both OS are windows. Make sure they are both the same workgroup. Check to see if you can ping between the two computers. If you can ping you know you have connectivity. Also as a test try turning off Microsoft Firewall. If that works then turn it back on but you know what your problem is.
